Sonic Lost World
SCORE: 88
Sonic Lost
World on the Nintendo 3DS is close to the Wii U home console version.
The Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World is scaled down quite a bit
though. What is impressive to me is how good it looks on this little
portable device.
The 3D worlds of Sonic Lost World look amazing in 3D on the Nintendo
3DS. The movies look better on the Wii U, but that is to be expected.
Sonic can auto lock on to the enemies and break them apart in little
explosions. There are fuzzy animals that hop away. You can not hurt the
fuzzy animals. I know because I tried.
I like the voices in Sonic Lost World. The music is good. The special
effect sounds are classic Sonic the Hedgehog sounds. The changing,
shifting, twisting worlds can be freaky at times. The sound effects give
queues when weird things like that happen.
The bonus levels to get the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic Lost World are
crazy. I used the gyroscope to point Sonic in the right direction as he
flew through space collecting orbs. I got myself all twisted up in a
blanket moving around. Make sure you have plenty of space around you
when you play that mini game. It could not be played riding on a bus, or
in a car.
The Deadly Six are an eclectic band of strange characters. The bosses
are fun to fight in the Nintendo 3DS version. If you get stuck in Sonic
Lost World, hit the RV vehicles which are very helpful. You then go
through the rest of the level super powered. Which is usually what you
need.
There are special power ups Sonic can find in Sonic Lost World too. They
allow him to do things like turn into a flying saucer which can take out
tornadoes. Why is that important? You need it to progress through
certain levels. Families can play regular, timed mode, and more in Sonic
Lost World. There is also local play, download play, Internet, and
Streetpass functionality in Sonic Lost World.
My best piece of advise with Sonic Lost World is to hit all of the
question symbols. They explain how to play this hand held action
adventure video game. Certain tips they provide are important to
successfully beat portions of these long levels.
