Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God
SCORE: 58
Japan sends over some quirky games. In the past a game like Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God would have never made it to the United States. I am unsure if it would make it over to Europe or not. Most gamers will look at this game with a furrowed brow. Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God does not care if you like it or not. It is what it is, and it is not changing.
The PS Vita is starving for good games. I hoped Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God would be half way decent. It is my displeasure to report Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is going to be a niche game for those gamers who are a little off. The ones that have not learned the importance of personal hygiene.
Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is set in a bright and colorful world. The artwork in Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is fantastic. It shines in brilliance. The downside is how women are shown as sexual objects for men to lust after. Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God goes way over the top with this. There are also violent images are players will attack enemies with magic and weapons.
The sexual content in Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God gets worse in the dialogue. Thankfully the voices are all in Japanese so we have no idea what they are saying (unless you speak Japanese). The translated text shows all kinds of adult only content meant for the bedroom of married people only.
There are two main sections in Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God. The first is the lengthy talk sequences where they obsess over mainly curry (or the female anatomy). The player is on a quest to find ingredients to make some legendary curry. The most hardcore role playing gamer will get tired of the dialogue in Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God.
The second main section in Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is the dungeons. Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God plays similar to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. We have characters and we move them around these rooms. We attack anything close to us, pick up items, open treasure chests and move on to the next floor/area.
Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is big on its strange religious system. It is shocking in this day and age that this was not localized in some intelligent manner for the American audience. Every single person I showed this game to was offended by the religious content. The main response was Sorcery Saga Curse of the Great Curry God is demeaning to the one true God.
Sorcery
Saga Curse of the Great Curry God feels, looks, and sounds very
Japanese. Which means the majority of Americans are not going to
comprehend it. I am used to Japanese games, and most of Sorcery Saga
Curse of the Great Curry God made little to no sense to me. It is a
confusing hand held game that needed a completely different story line.
