Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge
SCORE: 60
Spongebob
has not entered Family Friendly Gaming Nation in some time. The history
of Spongebob video games has been spotty. Some games were decent, and
others were terrible. Where does Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's
Robotic Revenge fall?
I lean more towards the bad side than the good side with Spongebob
Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge. The levels feel uninspired. Walk
a little bit, smash some objects, and kill a few guys. Move forward and
do the same thing. Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge
feels like battle room after battle room.
Once you have the weapons unlocked, and upgraded then Spongebob
Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge turns into a walking shooter.
There are a couple of enemies that have to be beaten by jumping up, and
frog splashing them. Those can be avoided except in areas where all the
enemies have to be killed to unlock the door.
Boss battles feel just as uninspired. The patterns are easy, and very
lazy. Meaning they have been used before a hundred times in a hundred
different games. Oh look the boss is shooting lasers at us. We jump over
and keep shooting him. I think I did that in numerous Capcom games in
the past.
The shining ray of sunshine in Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's Robotic
Revenge is the humor. There are laugh out loud moments due to the crazy
things certain characters say. Trudging through all these levels to get
that, and the three keys was hardly worth it.
Purchasing the different guns, and upgrading them are well worth your
time. They lessen the time it takes to move through the levels in
Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge. They also lessen the
boredom of beating the same series of guys the three hundred and
fifteenth time.
Spongebob fanboys may take an interest in Spongebob Squarepants
Plankton's Robotic Revenge. The rest of us need not apply. I expect to
see Spongebob Squarepants Plankton's Robotic Revenge on the clearance
shelf in a few months.
