Storm
SCORE: 86
Are you one of those gamers who is looking for the latest trend? You know it is time for the violent games to retire, but just not sure what the latest and greatest thing is. Let me help you with that. The new in thing to do is to play Indie games. You know the games from independent developers.
Storm is one such independent game that brings something fascinating, fun, and different to the video game industry. I know you want to play something different. I know your bored with the violent games. I know you want to take on the role of the weather and guide a seed to fertile soil.
The whole guiding a seed to the fertile soil to get a new tree is a bit too environmental wacko for me personally. I understand the industry has finally caught up to what Family Friendly Gaming has been saying for years: "Video games teach, and influence the audience playing them." So I get it that those who worship at the alter of environmentalism want to teach growing trees. I just wish they would teach something of real importance like entering into a relationship with God.
Storm looks good, and it sounds good when the elements are being used. Storm is an action puzzle game in quite a few ways. We have to guide the seed over, through, under, and around obstacles. At times we have to use two elements at the same time. Solving each level will take skill, thought, and sometimes quick reflexes.
I like Storm because it is fresh,
fun, and safe for the entire family. Who doesn't like hitting a seed
with lightning? I still marvel at how that little guy can survive a
lightning strike, and logs will get decimated. This downloadable game
can help you with your problem solving skills.
