Who out in
Family Friendly Gaming Nation remembers the Happily Ever After Nintendo
DS games? Storm City Games released volumes on cartridges that contained
two stories per cartridge. Why do I bring this up? Tales To Enjoy!
Little Red Riding Hood on the Nintendo DSi is essentially the same game.
The big difference is it is one story.
The plus side to Tales To Enjoy! Little Red Riding Hood is it costs only
$1.99. Which is really cheap for a downloadable book. Tales To Enjoy!
Little Red Riding Hood reads to the child, lets them read the story, and
has six mini games.
Make no qualms about it, Tales To Enjoy! Little Red Riding Hood is a
kids game. It is based on the Little Red Riding story. So if you know
the story then you know the peril the little girl is in, and what
happens to the wolf at the end of the story.
I noticed a few oddities in Tales To Enjoy! Little Red Riding Hood.
First and foremost the voice reading the story and the words are not
always in sync. There are mild differences while the story is being
read. I am not sure why it was not corrected before its re-release. But
it should have been.
The best part of Tales To Enjoy! Little Red Riding Hood is the price.
This downloadable Nintendo DSi game is at the level of many apps on the
iOS platform. Sure it is a port of an older game, but still. Nintendo
has made major in-roads to getting costs down to help smaller publishers
like Enjoy Gaming. Which gives me great hope for the future of the
Nintendo 3DS platform.
