Teen Beach Movie has skyrocketed into the Family Friendly Gaming Nation with supreme power. This DVD gives a nod to movies from the past while keeping modern concepts and themes alive. The "Like Me" song is the perfect example of the clash of ideas in Teen Beach Movie.

Brady and McKenzie are two surfers enjoying the perfect summer together. Yet McKenzie has a secret. She is going off to an expensive school and their relationship will end. She is doing this because society puts such pressure on women to do it all by themselves.

These two teenage surfers get thrown into a movie from the 1960s. Concepts are completely different from that era. Women were content to let the guys be in charge and in control. They were not attacking men, and not trying to undermine and outdo them. In other words girls from that era were content, and did not go around with a chip on their shoulders.

Teen Beach Movie shows that a lot of pressure has been taken off boys/men, and it was put on the girls/women. In recent years women have realized this and fled the workforce. Deciding its better to stay at home with the kids and have a much more enjoyable life.

Throughout most of the movie McKenzie is trying to get back to the real world. Brady is much more comfortable living in the movie. He realizes it is a golden opportunity. So he relaxes and enjoys the additional time with McKenzie. He does help her get out since he care so much for her.

The major bonus feature on the Teen Beach Movie DVD is the rehearsals for the seven songs. Did I forget to mention Teen Beach Movie is a musical? My apology for that oversight. Teen Beach Movie is a fun, and fresh musical. A Mack & Brady Surfboard Zipper Pull is also included in the package.

Since this is a surfer movie, we can expect beach attire. From our era and from the 1960s. Males go without shirts in parts of this movie. Women are in bikinis. I did notice that most of the attire was tasteful, especially when surfing. I bring this up in case seeing skin offends you.

Teen Beach Movie is part surfer flick, part Grease, part West Side Story, and all Disney. The biker and surfer conflict is interesting, but ultimately not that powerful. Especially when the two groups/gangs learn to work together to stop the evil scientist. Yeah there are a lot of different things at play in Teen Beach Movie.
