Transformers Ultimate Battle Edition
SCORE: 60
Transformers Ultimate Battle Edition is another Combo Pack from
Activision. Inside this Wii disc (playable on a Wii and Wii U) is
Transformers Cybertron Adventures and Transformers Dark of the Moon. The
first game is an all new original work, and the second is based loosely
off the movie.
Transformers Cybertron Adventures is rated 'T' for thirteen and older
only. Transformers Dark of the Moon is rated 'E10+' for everyone ten
years old and older only. Transformers Dark of the Moon is also the
Stealth Force Power Mode version. Which means the vehicles drive around
in half transformed mode so they can launch all kinds of weapons.
Families will notice the violent content in Transformers Ultimate Battle
Edition. Transformers Cybertron Adventures is all about the war on
Cybertron between Autobots and Decepticons. It plays a lot like a first
person shooter except you can see your robot on the screen. Multiple
weapons are used to decimate thousands of enemy robots.
It is strange that Transformers Dark of the Moon received the E10+
rating from the ESRB. The violent content in both games is strangely
similar. Transformers Cybertron Adventures may be a bit more violent. It
can be difficult to determine in so much chaotic action.
The storytelling in both games in Transformers Ultimate Battle Edition
is fascinating - especially if you are a Transformers fan. Transformers
Cybertron Adventures has a good balance between robot and vehicle mode.
Transformers Dark of the Moon is heavy on the driving portion.
If your family has not played these two games before, and enjoy
Transformers video game, then a good value can be found in Transformers
Ultimate Battle Edition. If you already own these two games, it is not
worth it to repurchase. If you are not into Transformers and shooting
everything in sight then you will want to pass on Transformers Ultimate
Battle Edition.
It is this reviewers hope that Combo Packs become more prevalent in the
video game industry. It is a cheap way for families to get a wonderful
value. The economy still limps around like a dog with an injured paw.
Families need to save money wherever they can.
