ATV Fever

ATV Fever is a port of a Nintendo DS hand held video game to the Nintendo eShop. This game has moved from the physical copy to the digital realm. ATV Fever is being ported to the Nintendo DSi, and playable on the Nintendo 3DS.

The first thing to adapt to when playing ATV Fever is its age. This is an older game. Which means you have to think retro. The graphics are not up there with current video games on the Nintendo 2DS/Nintendo 3DS. They are okay for a Nintendo DSi game.

The second thing I had to adapt to in ATV Fever is the controls. They are tight to the point of being frustrating. Turn too long on a sharp corner and you will be kissing a wall. Which will slow you way down, and may make you lose the race.

In most modes it is possible to catch back up after you have gotten yourself face first into a wall. As long as you do it in the first or second lap. If you do it in the third and final lap then you are going to lose. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Bumping into other racers feels glitchy. I also always got the worst end of the stick when we made contact. Which can be hard to avoid when players are trying to recover from a mistake made in a turn. You will need some patience to learn the tracks and win at them.
