ATV Quad Kings
SCORE: 70
Out of the two Enjoy Gaming ATV ports released this week, I like ATV
Quad Kings the best. I know this is an older physical game being moved
over to the download only market. I know many of our readers are part of
the physical copy movement. ATV Quad Kings is a solid older ATV based
video game.
The controls in ATV Quad Kings are adequate. I love picking up one of
those turbos and using it at the opportune moment. The tracks in ATV
Quad Kings have some similarities to ATV Fever. That may have gone
unnoticed if these games were released farther apart.
There are enough modes in ATV Quad Kings to keep families busy for a few
weeks. Players earn points and money in the six races that are in
circuits. It does feel a bit long for a hand held game. Since most other
racing games on the hand held only include four.
The music in ATV Quad Kings is rockish and loud. It actually did not set
well with my brain, so I wound up turning the sound down. I am also not
a fan of the special effect sounds in ATV Quad Kings. The artistic
expression is not to my personal tastes.
Some water has gone beneath the bridge since we last played ATV Quad
Kings. Time has not been kind to this hand held racing video game. Which
is a shame because playing racing games on the hand held other than
Mario Kart is nice. Especially when ATV Quad Kings has no weapons and no
violence.
