Adventure Time Season Four
SCORE: 68
The complete fourth season of Adventure Time is receiving a release
on Blu-ray (one disc) on October 7th, 2014. Adventure Time Season Four
is also being released on DVD (two discs) on the same day. The Blu-ray
version will cost a few dollars more at launch. Family Friendly Gaming
was provided a copy of the Blu-ray package for this review. Family
Friendly Gaming was not provided any financial payments for all of the
work associated with the review, running a server, etc.
I sat through the 286 minutes of Adventure Time Season Four in one day.
That is a lot of Adventure Time for one day. I did take a few breaks
from Finn, Jake, all the princesses, and the Ice King. Plenty of
interesting characters in Adventure Time Season Four. Many returning
from previous seasons.
I noticed a definite sexual undertone in many of the twenty-six episodes
of Adventure Time Season Four. Finn has moved on from Princess
Bubblegum, and is now in love with the Flame Princess. She is on fire,
so it leads to all kinds of issues in terms of things like hugging and
kissing. It is also a statement on opposites in relationships.
There are plenty of gross moments in Adventure Time Season Four. Like
the Ice King stealing parts of different princesses to make himself a
wife. There are also numerous uncomfortable moments. Like Finn kissing a
frog to have a curse lifted - and it turns out to be a prince.
The strange after life teachings are in Adventure Time Season Four. I
also noted the multiverse belief is taught in Adventure Time Season
Four. Demons are shown as normal in Adventure Time Season Four. There
was one rude comment about punching an angel.
Adventure Time Season Four can be a paradox at times. As Finn is growing
older and getting more interested in relationships with girls he is also
grossed out by things like public displays of affection. He eventually
decides it is okay, even though so many other characters are grossed out
by characters kissing.
There are a variety of evil characters in Adventure Time Season Four.
Many of them revolve around magic. Adventure Time Season Four contains
plenty of oddities. There is also a lack of logic in a variety of
portions. Like Jake could grow large to help in certain instances and
then does not think of it in others.
