Alphadia Genesis
SCORE: 72
Is it possible Natsume read our article on the failures of the Wii U?
Because they have come up with an answer. Alphadia Genesis their first
Wii U title. Natsume partnered with Kemco, and Exe-Create to port over
this Android role playing game. It expands onto the home console like
many OUYA titles.
Alphadia Genesis is set in a land recovering from war. Fifteen years ago
all the fighting stopped between the two major countries. Clones were
used to battle it out, until resources were stretched thin. Now fifteen
years after that war, two clones are guilty of killing their master.
Except clones should not be able to do that.
We start in Alphadia Genesis as a part of the investigative team. People
from both countries work together to learn shocking secrets, and stop an
evil plot. The different characters in Alphadia Genesis have some real
personality. As the book of dialogue attests to.
Visually Alphadia Genesis looks like a 16-bit game to maybe a 32-bit
game. The retro look fits this game. At times I felt like I was playing
an older Final Fantasy video game. Other times I felt like I was playing
an older Phantasy Star video game. Alphadia Genesis pays homage to the
role playing games from yesteryear.
Alphadia Genesis preaches a belief in the rights of clones. I have to be
honest about something. I am not sure how such a back water fantasy
world could come up with such high technology. Plus they can enact
behavioral modifications. Pretty advanced for a barely past medieval
society.
We can save anywhere in Alphadia Genesis. Outside of battle, and outside
of conversations that is. The turn based battles are where the violence
comes into play. Certain characters are insulting and rude toward other
characters. There are also sexual references in this downloadable only
home console video game.
The hint system in Alphadia Genesis is fantastic. If you ever get stuck,
go into the menu, and find the Story option. It tells you exactly what
to do next. The end analysis is Alphadia Genesis is a solid role playing
game on the Wii U. It is much lower in the offensive content than most
other role playing games now-a-days.
