Castle Conqueror EX

Castle Conqueror has made its way from the Nintendo DSi to the Nintendo 3DS. I did not find any 3D effects in Castle Conqueror EX while playing it on the Nintendo 3DS. Which is actually fine with us here at Family Friendly Gaming. We rarely play with the 3D on anyways.

I really enjoy the strategy in Castle Conqueror EX. We start with so many buildings, and send troops to conquer others. The other force is doing the same thing. At some point our armies and their armies intersect. It then turns into whomever has more, and stronger forces. Each building amasses new troops at a steady pace.

It is very important in Castle Conqueror EX to purchase upgrades for your troops. There are also items in Castle Conqueror EX that will enhance the stats of your forces. Those cost much more though. I recommend starting with the upgrades, and getting those leveled up first.

One of the coolest things about Castle Conqueror EX is you gain gold even when you lose a battle. This can help players level up so they can hopefully beat it the next time. A stylus is needed to play Castle Conqueror EX. All of the action happens on the bottom screen.

The music in Castle Conqueror EX is nice. I like listening to it while I contemplate strategies. Do I go straight for their capital, or conquer a few more neutral buildings first? Castle Conqueror EX is a fast paced real strategy game that all skillsets can enjoy. In fact some gamers who have no clue what RTS stands for, may really get into Castle Conqueror EX on the 3DS.

Castle Conqueror EX is a downloadable only video game selling for $3.99 (at the time this review was written). Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for this review. The cost of the review is of course way higher than the cost of the game. Circle Entertainment did not provide Family Friendly Gaming any financial funding for this review.
