CastleStorm launched itself into the next generation home consoles in
the release of CastleStorm Definitive Edition. This Wii U, Playstation
4, and Xbox One home console video game will test your reflexes, and
menu screen maneuverability. CastleStorm Definitive Edition contains
CastleStorm, and the the DLC packs of Outcast to Savior, and Warrior
Queen.
There are also new modes included in CastleStorm Definitive Edition. Is
it worth a buy if you previously purchased it on another system? That is
a tough question. CastleStorm Definitive Edition looks better running
1080p at 60 frames per second. It can be difficult to justify the
purchase if you own it on another system.
Those that waited for this downloadable only video game, will be more
interested in CastleStorm Definitive Edition. Even on the easiest
settings you need to be very efficient to win. There are so many
different things players can do in CastleStorm Definitive Edition. They
can shoot arrows, launch attacks, send troops, and control a hero on the
screen. Juggling all of these things is what makes CastleStorm
Definitive Edition difficult. Especially in timed levels.
CastleStorm Definitive Edition contains humor that will excite certain
groupings of people, and offend other groupings of people. The same goes
for the levels of violence, and lack of attire on certain female
characters. I did not find a modesty mode in CastleStorm Definitive
Edition.
The excessive violence in CastleStorm Definitive Edition can get dull.
Especially in back and forth battles where neither side can get much of
an advantage. The dead vanish quickly in CastleStorm Definitive Edition.
I think it would be a chore for even a next gen home console machine to
keep up with all the dead if they were left on the screen.
I think of CastleStorm Definitive Edition like a modern day tug of war.
There is a pushing and pulling aspect to how this game is played. The
adult only content is one reason for its rating. The difficulty of this
downloadable only title is another. I wonder if CastleStorm Definitive
Edition will receive a physical copy at some future date?
