Final Fantasy IV

Final Fantasy IV was originally released in 1991. It was then remastered in 2006. The PC version of Final Fantasy IV on Steam is that remastered 2006 version. There are some upgrades like a new intro movie, and of course Steam cards - which can be bought and sold.

Final Fantasy IV is showing its age visually. Pixelation is noticeable in certain areas. Certain other screens like the battle screens look better than I was expecting them to. The new intro movie is fantastic to view - albeit there are some issues families will have with it.

I might as well get into the issues families will have with Final Fantasy IV. There is violence, magic, bad language, enticement to lust, crystals, occult, and eastern religious teachings. There is also a message of redemption. Turning from darkness and embracing the light.

If you played Final Fantasy IV recently then it might be a hard sale to play it again on the PC. Plus playing games on the Personal Computer is not as comfortable as playing on a hand held device. If you have not played Final Fantasy IV since the SNES then you may be interested in checking it out on Steam.

The storyline in Final Fantasy IV is deep, and there are some complex characters. I love how Cecil wants to atone for his sins. It reminds me of Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our sins. Final Fantasy IV reminds me to strive to do the right thing.

The presentation of Final Fantasy IV is crisp and clear. I found that the Family Friendly Gaming controller works easily with Final Fantasy IV. Which is nice because keyboard play is tedious at best. Much of Final Fantasy IV felt familiar, but that is because I have played Final Fantasy IV on multiple different systems.
