Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar

There are plenty of strategy simulation video games that focus on the combat of ancient Rome. Very few focus on one of the most important thing in any war - supply lines. Troops can starve in any war. Many just desert to go and find food. Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar understands this.

Players take on the role of Julius Caesar in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar. They control him as he commands his troops to seek glory for himself, and to gain political power from it. If you are successful in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar then you know what awaits Caesar.

Expect plenty of violence in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar. Players can zoom in to see the blood, death, and gore. Dead bodies will litter the ground after battles. If you lose what is left of that squad will go back to their last city to regroup.

Zooming in and zooming out is a key component to Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar. It is so easy to go from a field view to map view. Directing troops is also a couple of simple mouse clicks away. A left mouse click to select them, and a right mouse click to select their destination.

The thematic story elements are told in a stellar fashion. We are treated with artwork as it is being drawn. That is the effect in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar. The voice acting is decent. Expect some of the seedier side of politics in this Personal Computer video game.

There are plenty of historical references in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar. Wading through the battles can get tedious. At times Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar confused me. Like when a squad of horsemen are defeated by a squad of soldiers. Something was wrong with that in terms of realism.

Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar is not a game for children. Numerous adult only themes and concepts are found within this strategy simulation video game. In addition to that, a strategic mind is needed to even compete in Hegemony Rome The Rise of Caesar.
