Kirby Triple Deluxe
SCORE: 70
The pink fluff ball has floated back into
Family Friendly Gaming Nation. He can inhale more than ever before in
Kirby Triple Deluxe on the Nintendo 3DS. What makes this hand held game
a triple deluxe? There are three different games in Kirby Triple Deluxe.
They are the main story, Kirby Fighters, and Dedede's Drum Dash. There
is also the Arena, and Dedede Tour modes.
Physical copies of Kirby Triple Deluxe can be purchased at a store (or
online retailer), and through an online download via the Nintendo eShop
on the Nintendo 3DS. Please make sure you have enough room on the SD
card, and you have enough available download space with your ISP.
Kirby Triple Deluxe has 3D effects woven into this hand held game quite
nicely. In fact I noticed it in level after level. This can really
enhance the game play of this bright and colorful video game. As an
added bonus it will not confuse when the player plays Kirby Triple
Deluxe in 2D.
Kirby is off into the clouds in Kirby Triple Deluxe. We climb a bean
stalk like vine to go up to each new and additional world. Each level
within a world contains sun stones. These are important to open the boss
level. So make an effort to collect a couple of them in each level.
At the end of each level we are launched out of a cannon. Get as far as
you can to earn keychains. These are nice little mementos from the Kirby
universe. They can also be traded via Streetpass if you ever come across
someone else with this same game. I have problems finding people to
Streetpass with in my area.
The main story mode of Kirby Triple Deluxe is generally family friendly.
There is action adventure violence. We can inhale enemies and swallow
them to gain their powers. We can also shoot them out at other enemies.
There is also some crude humor like characters shaking their butts at
us.
The Kirby Fighters game in Kirby Triple Deluxe reminds me of Smash Bros.
Except it is done only with Kirby characters. They can have a variety of
different power ups. This game in Kirby Triple Deluxe gets pretty
violent, and aggressive quickly. This portion of Kirby Triple Deluxe
fits more with an ESRB 'T' for Teen rating. I am a little surprised with
that in there this 3DS game did not earn an E10+ rating.
Kirby Triple Deluxe contains a nice amount of content. Families will
find a lot to do in this hand held video game. I personally like the
different little key chains. It would be awesome if Nintendo makes some
of these in the real world in the future. Maybe for Club Nintendo
members. The hyper mode is a nice addition. Being able to inhale entire
trees as well as parts of the background is the next logical step for
this franchise.
