Krautscape

Krautscape has been the most anticipated racer to come out on the Personal Computer this year. It has an amazing look that would work on a home console. And that is probably where Krautscape should have been released. Sorry PC gamers this one would have worked better on the Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Family Friendly Gaming was told Krautscape plays better with the Xbox 360 controller. There is one problem with that. We have tried to use our Xbox 360 controllers on the PC. They won't work for us. Research told us we need a special - very expensive version of the Xbox 360 controller on the PC. This brings up one really important question. Why isn't Krautscape being released on the Xbox 360?

Another important question is - why doesn't our PC controller work with Krautscape? Why does any of this matter? Because playing Krautscape with a keyboard is like looking up in the sky while it is raining (keeping your eyes open) and hoping you get no water in your eyes. I would have more luck trying to chop down a petrified tree with a dull axe.

The game developer can not expect everyone is going to have one specific controller to play their game. Obviously the gamers are not being thought about. After buying a game we do not want to be told to go buy a certain controller. Or the game is absolutely unplayable. Nothing ruins a good looking and good sounding game more than poor controls.

There are so many wonderful ideas in Krautscape - like flapping those wings, and gliding. Yes this is a driving game. But we also get to fly for short distances, and place track while we are racing. Krautscape would be so much better if the controls were more inclusive.
