LEGO Star Wars Microfighters
SCORE: 62
LEGO Star
Wars Microfighters is a very clever shooter game. Players hold down on
their on screen vehicle, and it shoots. I like this better than having
to constantly tap a button. It is also easier than holding down a button
on a controller.
I am logging one complaint against LEGO Star Wars Microfighters.
Collecting those studs. It is difficult, frustrating, and costly in
terms of hearts. After we blow up the barrage of vehicles attacking us,
they leave studs. We then have to fly there to get them. Which is a
problem when four vehicles appear on the left, and then four on the
right. I got hit, or missed other vehicles.
I am not sure why we are blowing away all of these vehicles in the
eighteen levels of LEGO Star Wars Microfighters. It seems to be - to
collect studs, and purchase improvements to our assault vehicles. This
hand held app reminds me of Xevious in numerous ways.
The loading screens in LEGO Star Wars Microfighters are longer than any
other app I have ever played. Which is strange because LEGO Star Wars
Microfighters is not as graphically intense or large as the other Lego
games on the app store.
Things can get crazy on the screens in the levels of LEGO Star Wars
Microfighters. Expect to be challenged in mid to later levels. Like most
shooters, LEGO Star Wars Microfighters can get difficult. The more
crowded the screen becomes the more chance for slowdown. If you have the
latest, greatest iOS device that is clean in terms of cache then you
should be fine. If you do not upgrade every six months then you may run
into issues running LEGO Star Wars Microfighters.
