League of Heroes

When I heard about League of Heroes, I knew the name sounded familiar. There is an app by the same name. And the app is the same game as League of Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS. The app does not have 3D, and the controls in the app are not as good as the 3DS.

The 3D effects in League of Heroes are crazy deep. That alone could warrant the $4.99 price tag. League of Heroes is a downloadable only video game. The low price should signal to our millions of readers that League of Heroes is not provided in a physical format.

League of Heroes is a hack and slash role playing video game. We go into limited fields and kill all of the monsters. We earn experience, and coins. We can purchase certain weapons and armors when we have the right amount of money, and when our character is the right level.

There are quests in League of Heroes. Simple stuff like kill so many of this monster, or collect so many monster drop items. Every third level we can purchase upgraded skills. These cost coins or gems. The gems are earned from completing the quests.

There are monster levels and boss levels in League of Heroes. Grind in the regular monster levels before trying a boss level. The boss levels are much harder. The character sound bytes are interesting the first couple of times. The music is nice in League of Heroes.

League of Heroes shows its app roots. From what I can tell this is pretty much the same game. The art reminds me of Yslandia. Unlike Yslandia, once you purchase League of Heroes, no one can take it away from you. I am still hoping someone ports Yslandia to another machine, and has it completely offline.
