Lola's ABC Party

We love educational games here at Family Friendly Gaming. Lola's ABC Party is a Nintendo 3DS game that teaches kids their ABCs. The sounds of the letters, small words, and which letters fit into spelling the small words. There is also memory matching of letters to objects.

I let my youngest son play Lola's ABC Party and he had a good time creating the birthday party. He was as smart as a panda, even if he picked every other letter first. It is nice to see the positive encouragement to help kids embrace learning. Now if someone could do something for the teenagers.

Lola's ABC Party is very simple at heart. Kids decide if they are working on the cake, ice cream, or balloons. They play learning mini games randomly. Once they complete enough of them they can then decorate the cake, ice cream, or blow up the balloons. At the end there is a little party scene. Kids can interact with the three characters on the screen.

I have two thoughts concerning Lola's ABC Party. The first is deaf children will not be able to play this hand held Nintendo 3DS game. All of the instructions in Lola's ABC Party are verbal. Which is great for someone who hears. Not so great for someone not able to hear. Or if it is being played in a loud area.

My second thought on Lola's ABC Party is the mini games. It would be nice to play them by themselves after going through the birthday party the first time. But Lola's ABC Party does not allow that. Kids have to do another birthday party. What I noticed with my son was once he finished the first birthday party he felt he was done.

All in all Lola's ABC Party is a great little downloadable learning game for kids. They can learn the sounds and spelling of words and the letters that populate them. If you need a tool to assist your child with learning the alphabet, then Lola's ABC Party is a fun one.
