Moms' Night Out
SCORE: 58
Our family has been blessed to participate in numerous different
churches over the years. Some of the modern day American churches have a
strange misconception. How can you tell? Listen to what they say on
Mother's Day. They are all appreciative and thankful for women. Then
listen to what they say on Father's Day. They are telling men they are
messing up, and need to do better. Why is there such an attack on men?
Hollywood is attacking men all of the time. Now Christian movies have
joined in on attacking men.
Moms' Night Out is all about how wonderful mothers and women are.
Contrast that to the messages in Facing the Giants, Courageous, and
Fireproof. Men are attacked in those movies. They are not uplifted and
edified. Moms' Night Out tells women we are good as is. We do not need
to change. We do not need to try. Just be whatever we want to be. If it
is okay to encourage men to be better, why not also encourage women? Why
do we women get a pass?
I know there are deadbeat dads out there. There are also deadbeat moms
out there. The modern day American church needs to have real, genuine,
transparent, and honest communications about that, and why they are
driving men out of the church at record rates.
There are plenty of things we women can do to enhance, enrich, and
improve the lives of our husbands and our children. Moms' Night Out does
not show that. Instead it shows women who are all stressed out from
having to serve, and it constantly disrespects their husbands.
Interesting themes, concepts and questions are posed in Moms' Night Out.
I found it interesting to see a pastors wife working the church foyer.
Women complaining life is too hard for them. Women being selfish. Why
aren't some people happy?
There are numerous problems with Moms' Night Out. One of the biggest is
the lack of discipline. The mothers in Moms' Night Out never discipline
their children. They always give them their way. That is the worst
parenting model that can be followed. This issue is never addressed or
fixed in this movie.
Moms' Night Out comes out as anti-video game. It also shows some footage
of a macabre, and morbid video game. These women want to look good on
their night out away from their husbands and children. Why? Who do they
want to look good for? Moms' Night Out does support modesty. It also
supports women having psycho moments. There is some violence in Moms'
Night Out.
The main lesson in Moms' Night Out is moms are important. Also be happy
with who you are. Moms' Night Out is being referenced as a comedy.
However I did not find it funny. The plot was confusing, and ultimately
pointless. It is like problems were put out there just to try and shake
things up.
Over the years we have talked about what we want in Christian films. Why
does every single Christian movie have to preach at everyone? Why can't
there be some good, clean fun? Like Banana's Comedy. I believe the crew
behind these movies needs to financially invest in some new people with
new ideas. Here I have already given them a multi-million dollar idea
for free.
