Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion

It has been seven months since I played and reviewed a Nancy Drew Personal Computer video game. It feels like it was just yesterday. Time flies with kids in school, field trips, and helping out in the classroom. And no I am not paid to help out in the classroom. Nor do I get any kind of tax break for all of that work.

Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion gets in on the reality television show craze. Yeah I keep hoping the industry will come to its senses and go back to television shows instead of learning about other people's lives. You know what? Live your own life and stop watching others live theirs.

Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion comes in a physical copy and one of those yucky digital download versions that eats up memory and your Internet ISP usage meter. Memory on a gaming PC will probably not be much of an issue, and installation times should be the same.

Many of the things we have come to expect from a Nancy Drew PC game are in Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion. Voice acting, animations that are not always realistic, puzzles, and of course a mystery. Ah the mysteries are what make Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys so engaging for teenage minds.

There is even a PDF wakthrough guide to help families when they get stuck. That can really help you stay on the right path. But using it feels like cheating. I have to admit I would have been hopelessly stuck most of the time without it. Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion does not allow us to skip puzzles. I like skipping puzzles and wish that were a part of this game on the Amateur Sleuth difficulty setting.

The mini games in Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion are interesting. I had to read the rules for all of them because they made little to no sense just trying them out. Raid is a bit too complex for my tastes, and I believe the computer cheats.I have never been a fan of card games with multiple different numbers all over the cards.

Nancy Drew The Shattered Medallion is another solid Nancy Drew title for Her Interactive. This is their thirtieth mainline Personal Computer Nancy Drew video game. Here is to them reaching forty.
