PING 1.5+

We get all kinds of interesting games to review here at Family Friendly Gaming. Some weeks the reviewable copies just keep piling up. Some games are good, some games are of lower quality. Everyone wants us to write them an amazing review and make them rich. Too often I am trying to find a nice way of giving them bad news.

In the midst of disappointment after disappointment, PING 1.5+ on the Wii U comes in for review. I immediately took a liking to this game. The bright colorful graphics mixed with the upbeat music caught my attention. Then I started to play PING 1.5+. Guess what? Paul likes it. You know like the old Life cereal commercials with that kid Mikey?

We play a dot in PING 1.5+. I know, I know. Before you run to the Wii U to download this home console game in total excitement, let me elaborate. The dot in PING 1.5+ must be launched toward an orange orb. Just wait for it. I am sure there are all kinds of sarcastic comments coming from the peanut gallery. We have to get to that said orange orb in only so many bounces.

We can bounce off objects, and the edge of the screen in PING 1.5+. I know the idea sounds simple enough. Think about it. You have to get over, around, and through in under five bounces. Sounds simple until you watch your little white dot bounce all around and miss the orange orb.

I love how PING 1.5+ contains over one hundred levels. Trust me things start to get interesting in the second world. Did I mention you get to take on bosses in PING 1.5+? So sorry that slipped my mind. Players have to bounce into the boss so many times while only bouncing so many times themselves.

I really, really like PING 1.5+. This is the kind of an app like game that works masterfully on the Wii U. I know Nintendo has earned all kinds of scorn in recent years for their massive blunders. Having PING 1.5+ put on the Wii U is something they have done right.
