PUZZLEBOX setup

When the Nintendo DS was first introduced there were games that had us turn the device sideways, and even upside down. Years later on the Nintendo 3DS most games have us play with the device in the standard way. PUZZLEBOX setup turns that standard on its head. Literally.

Yes we play PUZZLEBOX setup upside down. Okay the device is upside down. We turn the device upside down, and play on the touch screen - which is now the top screen. If you still do not comprehend this, then go through the tutorial of PUZZLEBOX setup. It explains it all to you, and asks you to turn the 3DS upside down.

The game play in PUZZLEBOX setup is interesting to say the least. We tap on the touch screen to send blocks of that color to the other screen. There are two modes in PUZZLEBOX setup. There is the regular classic mode that plays like a song - since the puzzle scrolls from right to left. The copycat mode has us fill in a shape as fast as we can.

Both modes have to be played in the A, B, and C sections of PUZZLEBOX setup before the next box will open up. Then things get more difficult. In fact once multiple colors are put into the mix, this game gets insanely tough. At least for my poor brain.

PUZZLEBOX setup is a different kind of a puzzle game with some unique ideas. I have never played anything like this downloadable only video game before. Lining things up between the screens can be a bit of a pain. I had to complete the first box before the tutorial stopped coming up.

The graphics in PUZZLEBOX setup are a bit on the plain side. I enjoyed listening to the music in PUZZLEBOX setup. The price for PUZZLEBOX setup is pretty low. There are not a lot of levels though. And there is no physical copy version of PUZZLEBOX setup. Families will be safe playing PUZZLEBOX setup.
