Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series

Every so often someone comes along and tells me what I do is easy.
They could do it no problem whatsoever. I smile, and ask them a question
like: "are you ready to sit through eighteen hours of Pee-wee's
Playhouse?" It is amazing how quickly they back off. Guess what? I did
it. I watched the entire show.
Over the last eight days I have watched a Blu-ray disc of Pee-wee's
Playhouse The Complete Series. One disc per day for eight straight days.
Forty-five episodes in eighteen hours. Then there are bonus features.
Which are mainly interviews with cast and crew. Sadly those are mainly
promoting the franchise, and filled with inaccuracies.
There is a migration in watching Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete
Series. The first reaction is your eyes are as big as saucers.
Puppetland is a strange, imaginative world where creativity reigns
supreme. Then you start to understand the show. Finally you can
appreciate the lessons being taught.
Plenty of old, and lame jokes are presented in Pee-wee's Playhouse The
Complete Series. The genie and wishes in Pee-wee's Playhouse The
Complete Series are also a bit on the odd side. Pee-wee's character is
like a giant kid who never matured. His laughter is embraced or it
irritates.
Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series can be a bit racy in terms of a
kids show. With the cleavage, life guard not wearing a shirt, and sexual
innuendo. There is also dancing, and art that some may find offensive.
The screaming over the secret words can be confusing at first.
I flesh out one item of interest from Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete
Series in my Editor's Desk column of issue #88 of Family Friendly
Gaming. It revolves around all the people claiming to be same in being
artsy. But they also claim they we very diverse. The diversity comes
from the outside only.
The Christmas Special in Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series
actually tells the real true meaning of Christmas. Which is awesome to
see. Normally the worldly shows do everything possible to avoid any
mention of Jesus Christ. So it is wonderful to see in this show.
Pee-wee Herman (aka Paul Reubens) has had some scandals, controversies, and offensive
episodes in his life. They have been very public, and damaged his
overall image. I refused to judge Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete
Series based on Pee-wee Herman's life mistakes. Those mistakes also came
after the show.
I know of plenty of children's shows that are more educational than
Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series. With that said Pee-wee's
Playhouse The Complete Series does teach a variety of lessons about not
smoking, being safe, and more. Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series
is very multi-cultural, and multi-lingual. There are Spanish portions of
the show in later seasons. Different people from different countries are
shown in Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series.
Pee-wee's Playhouse The Complete Series is a part of the history of
television. It may be one of the oddest shows to appear. At the same
time there is a general innocence shown in the show. The cast changes
are not addressed in a way I found satisfying. Thanks to behind the
scenes interviews I have a good idea why there were cast changes.
