Peggle 2

Peggle 2 is one of the coolest puzzle games I have ever played. Players launch a ball down into what looks like a pachinko machine. The goal is to get all of the red color orbs. Once an orb is touched by the ball in Peggle 2 it will go away. The ball may need to get to the bottom first on certain colors.

Specific colors also offer the players certain powers. If you can land in the basket at the bottom (which moves back and forth), then you save your ball for another turn. Each world has a different character in Peggle 2. We start with a unicorn, and move into troll, and so on. The unicorn has a guideline that shows where the ball will go after a bounce, and the troll has a large bowling ball that clears out a swath. Other characters have other helpful powers.

The music in Peggle 2 is classical, and fantastic. Most families will recognize the songs that are played in Peggle 2 after they complete a level. They are really cool to listen to the first couple of times. When you finally finish a world you will be sick of hearing it though.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Peggle 2 on the Playstation 4. There was a download file, and an update file. Together they amounted to close to five gigs. Make sure you have enough Internet usage, and space on your machine for such a massively large file. I feel there should be a physical copy of Peggle 2 since it is over the 1 gig ceiling.

Peggle 2 can be an addicting video game. It has nice colors, fun levels, and catching music. The fantasy creatures do not animate well, and are actually annoying. The additional cost of DLC in Peggle 2 is crazy. Families also need to be aware of some of the crude humor, and lack of clothing in some of the odd creatures.
