Penguins of Madagascar is exactly what the Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U needed this Christmas. This is a stealth game that makes us avoid enemies, traps, and more. There are some simple mini games in Penguins of Madagascar that unlock areas.

Penguins collect cheese puffs in Penguins of Madagascar. They are found all over the levels of this home console video game. Penguins of Madagascar is sold as a physical copy, and there is also the download version. Family Friendly Gaming was provided the download version of Penguins of Madagascar.

There are four penguins in Penguins of Madagascar that are identified by their faces and colors behind their faces. Certain characters are needed for certain things in this home console video game. Like Rico is needed to blow things up. Press the 'X' button and a certain direction on the D-pad to change your penguin.

Players are expected to figure out how to get through the various puzzles. If you are completely stuck, try to find a different area to go to. I found this out by accident in a few areas. I also found certain penguins can be used to bypass certain obstacles.

The music in Penguins of Madagascar is cool. The humor from the penguins is there. I like the graphics except when I get a penguin hit by something like laser beams. Penguins of Madagascar makes families think about how to progress. Usually a button somewhere nearby needs to be pressed. Expect to make many side trips to get through the levels of Penguins of Madagascar.

I want to see more games like Penguins of Madagascar in the future. This game is related to the movie, which makes it one of the most solid movie based video games in recent years. It was a real pleasure for me to play and review Penguins of Madagascar on the Wii U.
