Point Perfect

Family Friendly Gaming asks things of the video game industry. We ask
companies to do things we believe in. We make requests to the entire
industry earns a better image. One of those requests was newly made
retro games. This is exactly what Point Perfect on the PC is. It is a
recently created game done in a retro style.
Why are newly made retro games so important? Because it allows new
companies into the industry. Not everyone has a massive budget. Not
everyone can purchase the latest greatest tools. There is a certain
nostalgia to older games, and older styles.
Point Perfect has an old look and feel to the graphics. Somewhere around
the 8-bit video games. If you are into eye candy in video games then you
need to move on. Right now. In fact, stop reading this review. Leave
your donation at the door, and find another review to read.
Point Perfect also has retro sounds. You will not find a symphony or
orchestra while listening to Point Perfect. There are even some crude
humor, and images families will find offensive. Some of them are even
sexual in nature. The audio sounds do fit the context of this game. The
crude comments are another story.
The game play in Point Perfect takes some getting used to. Especially
having to wait three seconds for it to recharge. Not being able to touch
the enemies feels backwards. I kept wanting to shoot them one at a time,
instead of drawing a box around them.
