Pokemon Art Academy

Nintendo has a habit of taking ordinary daily activities and making games out of them. Nintendo also has a history of trying to improve the lives of the millions within Family Friendly Gaming Nation, and the millions that will be joining very soon. Pokemon Art Academy fits into that category.

Do your kids like Pokemon? Do your kids have an interest in art? If you answered yes to either of those questions then your family will take a keen interest in Pokemon Art Academy. This Nintendo 3DS game comes in the highly respected physical copy, and also the less sought after digital copy.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Pokemon Art Academy. I played this hand held art game on the Nintendo 2DS. I am not able to focus on the 3D effects. I avoid the 3D since it is known to trigger migraines. And it is not like Nintendo will pay for the expensive medicines required to treat a migraine even though their product would be the root cause. So I avoid the 3D because I am a responsible citizen with common sense.

The art work in Pokemon Art Academy looks as good as your skills. My oldest son tried his hand at a few of the drawings and he did better than the computer character. My hubby also tried Pokemon Art Academy, and did not do as good. He skipped steps accidentally trying to avoid the slow training screens.

My drawings on real paper look better than what I can do with the stylus. I also have different pencils of different sizes, shades, leds, and colors in the real world. Those pencils cost money. Pokemon Art Academy can be a great way to see if your child would stick with the real world art. It is also a small financial investment compared to everything needed to do real art in person.

Pokemon Art Academy is also a great teaching tool to follow. Families can run the game, watching the strokes and then try to duplicate them on paper in the real world. I see value in Pokemon Art Academy as a teaching tool. I am hoping Nintendo is going to release a Christian based art game soon. Drawing Jesus, Moses, Mary, Peter, Jerusalem, King Solomon's Temple and more would be awesome.
