Pyramids 2

Like everyone else affiliated with Family Friendly Gaming I am big into the physical copy movement. I love cartridges and discs. Cartridges are usually better than discs because they almost always load faster. With that out of the way, I like Pyramids 2.

I know what you are going to say. I can hear you right now. You will say: "Pyramids 2 is a downloadable only hand held video game." You sir or ma'am are correct. Pyramids 2 is a downloadable only video game. This is a way for smaller video game developers to grow. You know Mojang (before they were bought off by Microsoft) started with downloads right? They moved into physical copies. Mojang set the standard for indie developers.

Did you play Pyramids? Did you like it? I did not play the original Pyramids. I have played Pyramids 2 on the Nintendo 3DS. Let me be clear, I was not into it at first. I kept trying to jump over the monkeys and failing. Then I learned to build around and over them. The genius clubs are not returning my calls - to be truthful they never did.

Pyramids 2 has some very small graphics, and nice music. I like the special effect sounds especially the placing and removing blocks. There are fifty-four levels, and families can save twenty-seven levels of their own creation. For when your game design creative juices are bubbling over.

At this exact moment in time, Pyramids 2 is selling for $4.99. You have to score so high in each world to unlock the next world. That sent me back to certain levels for a second and third attempt. Otherwise I did not replay levels in Pyramids 2.

The puzzle action in Pyramids 2 is a mixture. We have to get a key that opens a door. At the same time we need to collect as much treasure as possible. Animals, and traps will get in our way. Those things hurt us. Avoiding them is the key to success in Pyramids 2. I like this hand held game. It has panache.
