Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond
SCORE: 77
My brother and I are both into Slugterra. We like it better than
Pokemon, Digimon, etc. You name the animated show that is currently
running, and most likely we will pick Slugterra over it. I ask my dad
repeatedly about new Slugterra DVDs.
Imagine my excitement when my dad told me Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond
was coming in for review. I could barely contain myself. I begged and
pleaded to be a part of the first viewing. I then asked if I could help
with the review. Here I am reviewing the first Slugterra movie.
First and foremost this "movie" is only 44 minutes long. That is like an
hour long TV show without the commercials. Like a two parter of the
normal show. So the length of Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond is a bit
disappointing. I wish it was twice the length.
The story in Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond contains quite a few spoilers.
Obviously some stuff has happened in the show that has not been released
on DVD or Blu-ray. I wish entire seasons of this show would be coming
out. Then what came up in Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond would not be so
shocking.
The core of the story in Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond is a ghoul slug
controls slingers, and is invading the ninety-nine caverns. He comes
from another set of caverns that the Shane Gang (and us in the audience)
were not aware of. The healer slug is the most important character in
Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond. Since he can heal ghouled slugs and gouled
people.
There is a cool little slug short included in Slugterra Ghoul from
Beyond. It is called Burpy & Friends Take a Dive. I like the humor in
that short, and the main portion of Slugterra Ghoul from Beyond. Pronto
is hilarious. The show will take a new direction after Slugterra Ghoul
from Beyond which is nice to see.
I hope Slugterra gets turned into a home console, PC, and/or hand held
video game really soon. This show has the material for an amazing role
playing adventure that could compete with Pokemon. Someone out there
needs to get that hooked up.
