Smash Cat Heroes
SCORE: 70
What is it that many Nintendo 3DS video games do? They put some
content on the top screen and different content on the bottom screen.
What has not been done in many games? Moving your character from one
screen to another screen. Guess what Smash Cat Heroes lets you do?
Smash Cat Heroes lets us move from the bottom screen to the top screen.
This is so cool, and more fun than I remembered. It works really well on
the Nintendo 2DS hand held too. I just love moving my cat samurai from
the top screen to the bottom. It feels like I have so much more space to
walk around.
What do we do in Smash Cat Heroes? We slice and dice enemy cats. Collect
the items they drop, and make our way through wave after wave of
enemies. At the end is a large animal that needs to be beaten up. These
larger animals are boss characters that are much harder to defeat.
While we play Smash Cat Heroes we earn money. I wish the money we earned
in this game was applied to our Nintendo accounts or something. Anyways,
that money is used to upgrade our cats. They become more powerful, and
can beat harder levels.
Expect to replay certain levels over and over again. Earn money, and
when you have enough - upgrade. After a few upgrades you can finally
beat that boss. And then you get to another different looking level. The
graphics are a bit on the small side.
Normally the violent games bore me to tears. Who enjoy hacking and
slashing thousands of the same looking characters? For some reason Smash
Cat Heroes did not bore me. I like the cat characters. I like the
personality of the characters. I like upgrading my cat. I never thought
I would ever say something like that in my life.
Smash Cat Heroes carries along some app like traits. We earn additional
money if we can beat the level in a certain amount of time. These are
like goals that can be achieved if you are really good at this hand held
downloadable game. Or if you have a really powerful cat.
