I need to start this review off thanking the wonderful reader who donated a larger memory card so I could download and play Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment on the PS Vita. This game is 3 gigs. Way over the one gig ceiling we set on downloadable only video games. What is strange is Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment was released in physical format in Japan.

I also need to thank the wonderful readers who have provided donations financially so we can pay the ISP fine if we go over Internet usage thanks to the extremely large size of this hand held video game. We will be crimping and saving the rest of the month to avoid that fine if possible.

Bandai Namco Games did not put their best foot forward with Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment. Since this is a download only video game in the US, Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment will be limited on how many gamers it can reach. The voices are also in Japanese. So it feels like not a lot of effort was put into porting over this PS Vita game.

It is easy to see why Bandai Namco Games did not put much faith in Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment here in the US. It is part RPG, part hack and slash, and part dating sim. Not a recipe for success here in the United States of America. The lack of effort in porting is going to bring it down even worse.

Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment starts us out in an online video game. Okay, before you freak out - we are not playing this game online. It pretends to be an online MMORPG. Like the .hack franchise. Players are stuck in a game and trying to find their way out. Again just like the .hack series. BTW .hack was on the Playstation 2 system many years ago. So Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment loses points on originality.

Dialogue and cut scenes can not be skipped in Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment. They are lengthy and very boring. Plus I would need an encyclopedia to keep track of all these characters. Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment loves to jump us around to different characters rambling on about things that made no common sense to me.

The majority of the female characters in Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment are dressed in provocative ways. Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment has massive amounts of violence, enticement to lust, blood and nudity. The fighting monsters portion of Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment gets old real quick.
