Tales of Symphonia Chronicles

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles contains two older Tales role playing video games. There is Tales of Symphonia which was originally released on the Gamecube, and then later ported over to the Playstation 2. There is also Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World which was originally released on the Wii.

The importance of these two games show the progression and development of the franchise. Moving from short squat characters to more realistic looking human characters. From the 2D battle fights to the 3D battles. Both of the full role playing games in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles carry the theme of revenge.

Religious content is deeply ingrained in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Expect to become sick of hearing about a goddess as well as things like mana regeneration. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles can be used as a witnessing tool for those trying to spread eastern religious beliefs.

Graphically Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is definitely representing a by gone era, and a by gone gaming age. There are visual improvements, audio improvements, and new content. If you have other Tales games then you can earn additional content as a thank you from Namco Bandai Games.

If you are a fan of the Tales franchise and missed these two games then you can expect an insane amount of game play time. Certain characters and concepts may even feel familiar if you are playing recent Tales video game releases. It is not hard to tell how certain character types are recycled into newer games. Albeit they are made more complex in modern games.

Expect to grind your mind out in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Why the monsters do not match what is on screen is a mystery of Tales of Symphonia. It was fixed in the sequel. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is a nice way for role playing gamers to celebrate the ten year anniversary of this game.

Families can expect to face magic, religious content from the east, violence, enticement to lust, language, and gambling in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. These are definitely 'T' for Teen rated video games. Meaning THIRTEEN and OLDER ONLY.

The second game Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World has a Pokemon feel to it. Since we collect as many monsters as possible. This is made easier by forming pacts with as many Centurions as possible. Yes it uses a type system.

I do not understand some of the content in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. I understand staying true to the original game. But at the same time it is an opportunity to improve the content in the game and make it safer for families. At least put in a family safe mode (or family friendly version of the game). That way a larger audience can be reached by this game.

The best thing about Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is to see how the franchise has improved over the last decade. From the graphics to the voice acting. From the more complex characters, to the diverse storylines. It is also a way to see what has stayed the same over the years. Certain crutches that are still being used to this day.
