Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter

Space shooters fly through the video game industry every so often. Not as many of them shoot their way onto the hand helds. That is exactly what Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter has done on the Nintendo 3DS. Yes there is 3D in this game. It will either excite you or freak you out.

Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter is a space shooter where we spend a fair amount of our time on the ground. Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter makes me think of Star Fox 64. Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter looks a lot better than Star Fox 64 though.

Families can expect violence in the form of explosions, and energy weapons firing. Missiles are another danger in Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter. Getting hit will certainly ruin your mission. This hand held game will let you restart at the last checkpoint.

Missions in Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter can have a variety of different conditions. Players must stay close to their wingman, stay below a certain depth and more in Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter. If you make a mistake Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter will remind you.

Parts of Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter are bland, and parts look fantastic. The space ships look nice, and certain areas look nice. Other things like walls, and the ground can be boring and repetitive. The sounds in this 3DS game fit the theme of the game.

The ESRB rating is a bit of a surprise to me. With all of the violence in Thorium Wars Attacks of the Sky Fighter I expected a 'T' for Thirteen and Older Only rating. I disagree with the ESRB on that particular point. You can decide in your own family.
