Trainz Simulator 2
SCORE: 85
My brother gets into trains. I think these large locomotives are cool
and all. Just not as cool as he finds them. He needed my help getting
through the tutorial. He had trouble keeping the train at the right
speeds. I had trouble keeping the train at the right speeds.
The speed adjustment starts in red, goes yellow, and finally into green.
It is not easy to keep the speed of the train at a certain number. I
would climb up to the speed limit then slow down. I would then have to
speed up to get back close to the speed limit. Up and down throughout a
long trek. I guess it kept me engaged.
Trainz Simulator 2 looks nice. I wish I could have spent more time
enjoying the views. But I had to adjust the speed all of the time, and
pay attention to any lower speed limits coming up. Oh and honking my
horn before coming to rail road crossings. If a car wants to wait on the
tracks, they are the ones with a death wish.
Do not expect to be able to stop quickly in Trainz Simulator 2. Which is
pretty realistic. Trains in the real world do not stop on a dime either.
The trains in Trainz Simulator 2 look like the real thing. This is a
real testament to what the iPad can handle.
The sounds in Trainz Simulator 2 are of real trains. Which is nice.
Especially if you are into trains. Trainz Simulator 2 cost way less than
a real world train collection. The down side is you can not pick up,
touch, and feel the trains when you play Trainz Simulator 2. If you are
into trains, and apps then you will want to take a look at Trainz
Simulator 2.
