Transformers Armada The Complete Series
SCORE: 84
Long time
readers know there are a couple of things I like. Well okay more than a
couple of things. Entire seasons of shows are nice. A complete series is
fantastic - especially when it lasted more than two seasons.
Transformers Armada The Complete Series is four seasons. In other words
the entire show.
I don't know about ya'll, but I missed this show when it ran on
television. So for me it was nice to sit down and watch the eight DVD
discs. The box says it is approximately nineteen and three fourths
hours. Might as well round that to twenty hours of viewing time.
In Season One we are introduced to the mini cons. They are powerful
small robots that attach to the Transformers - granting them additional
powers. The different voice actors for the characters stuck out in
Transformers Armada The Complete Series. The Transformers (Autobots and
Decepticons) are both very militaristic. There is one episode in Season
One all about saving the forest, and the global warming lie is promoted.
In Season Two we see powerful mini cons that combine into a greater
weapon. Actually it came at the end of Season One, but is really fleshed
out in Season Two. The Star Saber Sword, and the Sky Moon Shield are the
big focus weapons. There are traitor characters, and characters that
swap sides in Season Two. I started to notice a pattern as well. the
Autobots win for awhile, and then the Decepticons win. Finally at the
end the Autobots pull it out and their winning continues into the next
season.
Season Three is where this show adds some mystery, twists and turns.
Sideways goes rogue. He wound up betraying both sides. We have been
seeing new characters here and there, but a giant in the form of Tidal
Wave is impressive. Smoke Screen dies, and is brought back. Star Scream
is betrayed by Megatron and becomes an Autobot. He eventually betrays
them and goes back to the Decepticons. Optimus Prime is killed off at
the end of the season.
Things get serious in Season Four. Both Autobots and Decepticons head
back to Cybertron. They have to face the threat of Unicron. Optimus
Prime is brought back. We see some mild name calling here and there. The
origins of the minicons are revealed. The death of Star Scream was
actually shocking. Megatron becomes Galvatron - which was never really
explained in this show. Transformers Armada The Complete Series ends
with peace for the Transformers.
There are some loose ends left where Transformers Armada The Complete
Series could have continued into a fifth season. As it stands it ends in
a nice place. Plenty of hours of viewing is available in Transformers
Armada The Complete Series. The inside disc holder piece fell apart on
me, which makes closing the case interesting.
Parents need to be aware of mild name calling, and violent content.
Almost every character that is killed off is brought back somehow. Their
bodies are repaired in some fashion or another. The mini cons are neat
little characters the size of humans. There is even some interesting
ideas in Transformers Armada The Complete Series. For example - fighting
so there can be peace.
