Transformers Energon The Complete Series
SCORE: 79
One of our kids has this Optimus prime toy where four small vehicles come in the cab he is towing. One fits on the right arm, one the left arm, one the right leg, and the last one on the left leg. It makes Optimus Prime larger than he normally is. Until just recently I did not know that toy went with a cartoon.
I should have suspected years ago the toy went with a version of the Transformers cartoon. I now have the proof in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. This show comes right after Transformers Armada ends. Characters are brought across and the world starts where the last one ended.
Rad and his friends have grown up a bit in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. We now follow the exploits of the human Kicker. Yeah that must have been a name that was lost in translation. The robot characters get a new look and feel throughout the episodes. Generally they get injured and come back with a new design.
There are seven DVD discs in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. Right now Shout Factory is selling this package for under forty dollars. That is a pretty nice deal when you factor in there are between eighteen and nineteen hours of viewing.
Transformers Energon The Complete Series starts out with energon being a hard to find resource. That concern eventually wanes. Humans create energon shields to keep the Decepticons out. It is generally a good defense used on multiple planets. Unicron then becomes the main focus of the show.
Alpha Q is an interesting character in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. He like so many characters in this show change sides, alliances, and focus. Transformers Armada had some extremely complex characters. They were interesting because what they would do next was unknown. Transformers Energon The Complete Series does not dig that deep. Oh we have moments, but then later they stick to their side in an obtuse manner.
Star Scream, and Megatron are brought back to life in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. Both of them are shells of their former selves though. Especially Star Scream - he is no longer an interesting character at all. The humans have the most interesting growth and development. As well as one of the coolest skills - the ability to sense energon.
Expect violence in Transformers Energon The Complete Series. There are explosions and a lot of fighting. I don't get how such advanced robots can miss one another so often in some episodes. Other times they take one or two hits and they are done. Then in other episodes they take a beating and can keep fighting no problem.
Megatron becomes Galvatron when he finds a pool of super energon. This character confuses me greatly. At one point he wants to destroy everything in the galaxy. I asked - what then? After you destroy everything what will you do? You put yourself out of a job.
At a certain juncture in Transformers Energon The Complete Series there were three different groups with different goals. This made the show interesting. Sadly two of the sides teamed up, and Transformers Energon The Complete Series lost something.
What was done with Unicron became so confusing at one point that I gave up trying to figure out what was going on. This show relied too heavily on him. Autobots and Decepticons will retreat from battle. The one that stayed would insult the one that left. I kept thinking of pots and kettles.
I lost track of how many times Optimus Prime defeated Galvatron. The writers always found a way to bring him back. Which made all those speeches of one final battle pretty hollow and meaningless. It is like the writers were told to wrap up the show, and then were given more episodes. The giant robot fights were interesting.
The art work in Transformers Energon The Complete Series ranges from area to area. There are multiple different styles used throughout the show. Which is pretty cool. I also appreciate Shout Factory bringing Transformers Energon The Complete Series to market. Families can see all the interesting Transformer Power Links.
