Trine Enchanted Edition
SCORE: 70
Trine has made it to the next gen in the form of Trine Enchanted
Edition on the Playstation 4. Players take on the role of a thief,
magician, and knight. The three of them embark on a quest to save the
fantasy land. Different characters have different skills so players need
to swap them around to solve the various puzzles in the fifteen levels.
Trine Enchanted Edition runs at Full HD 1080p at 60 frames per second,
and it also has stereoscopic 3D support, where the game runs at
720p/60fps per eye. Graphically it looks nice. We can see the bones of
the skeletons fly apart as we kill them. There is also animated blood in
Trine Enchanted Edition. The ESRB listed it in previous versions, and
somehow forgot how to mention it this time around.
The music in Trine Enchanted Edition is orchestra quality. It can sooth
the savage beast as you try to figure out how to get past each little
area. Players earn new skills for their three characters that will
assist them in progressing through the game. Expect the journey to take
between eight and twelve hours.
Up to three players can work together playing Trine Enchanted Edition.
This is local cooperative play, and online (as long as you have the
bandwidth and Internet speed). I prefer playing Trine Enchanted Edition
by myself with a spotter helping me out.
There is a religious system and religious belief set that is taught in
Trine Enchanted Edition. The Judeo-Christian morals and ethics are not
taught in Trine Enchanted Edition. There is also a glorification of
alcohol, and stealing in Trine Enchanted Edition. Plus the bones of the
dead come back to attack the living.
Trine Enchanted Edition has great looking locales, and wonderful
sounding music. Due the level of violence this should be a 'T' rated
video game in this reviewers opinion. Families will be concerned about
the usage of magic in this game. Players create usable objects thanks to
the magic. Trine Enchanted Edition can really test the players brain.
Especially in certain areas. Bosses are tough to beat and have a lot of
health.
