Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo
SCORE: 76
Winnie the
Pooh Springtime with Roo looked to be an interesting Blu-ray movie.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided the Hippity Hoppity Roo Edition
which includes a Roo Mobile with the Blu-ray disc that also contains the
Digital HD copy of the movie.
The front cover and the name of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo are
misleading. Why? Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo is all about
Easter. The back of the case has one reference to Rabbit being the
Easter bunny. He decides to redefine it at Spring Cleaning Day. Which is
actually hilarious since most of the content within Winnie the Pooh
Springtime with Roo is a redefinition of what Easter is really about.
The attempts to redefine things never seems to end.
I found no references in Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo to Jesus
Christ dying on the cross for our sins. No references to Jesus rising
from the dead three days later. No reference to the real, important, and
significant meaning of Easter. So Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo
was a real let down there.
Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo is all about Easter baskets, and
Easter eggs. My oldest son was confused how the Easter eggs could be
chicken eggs, and stay in a closet all year long. They would go bad.
They started out as white and had to be decorated. If they were fake
eggs they would already be decorated.
The main lesson in Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo is to avoid being
selfish. Think of others before you think of yourself. Winnie the Pooh
Springtime with Roo even has A Christmas Carol like moment. The narrator
shows Rabbit a possible future where all his friends move away.
There are plenty of funny moments in Winnie the Pooh Springtime with
Roo. Kids can get into the songs that compromise the bonus features in
Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo. I was thrilled to see a preview for
Frozen - I am patiently awaiting the release of that movie on Blu-ray
and DVD.
