3D Out Run

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for 3D Out Run on the Nintendo 3DS. This downloadable only video game feels so much like the original arcade video game. Two important differences though. First 3D Out Run on the 3DS costs way less than an arcade machine. The second major difference is 3D Out Run on the 3DS takes us less space. Which also means there is a smaller screen.

3D Out Run is a great arcade racer on the hand held. We have one man and one woman in the car driving as fast as they can down the various areas. Note you will need to make it to the check points to continue your driving experience. I found it was almost impossible to make it to the second check point without going into the settings and making thing easier.

The default button layout in 3D Out Run is not to my liking. This is another reason to go into the settings. Families can use buttons or the touch screen for acceleration and braking. You can also decide which buttons to use. The difficulty is another setting you may want to look at. Also if you want a manual or automatic vehicle. I went for the automatic personally.

3D Out Run reminds me of trips to the arcade. I loved sitting there and driving over hills, and through the curves. I hope Sega has success with these enhanced versions of their older games. I would love to see a compilation physical copy of these games at some future date. The only real down side to 3D Out Run on the 3DS is the millions of families supporting the physical copy movement are excluded.

3D Out Run looks great and sounds great on the hand held. I love the 3D effects on this Nintendo 3DS video game. Please be aware you can crash your car, and your people will go flying out. I guess they did not buckle up. They do get up and get back into the car. I like 3D Out Run. I wish there were more games like this one out on the market place for consumers to purchase.
