Adventure Time Season Five

A lot of people cringe at the thought of watching and reviewing an entire season of a television show. Especially when it is fifty-two episodes, and lasts 572 minutes. Not me, I actually enjoy a challenge like that. A challenge like Adventure Time Season Five. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Adventure Time Season Five on the Blu-ray, and I have diligently gone through it.

Adventure Time Season Five does contain some episodes I have seen on other Adventure Time releases. The bonus content on the two Blu-ray discs are Adventure Time Featurrette, Animatic Clips, and Special Snail Hunt. Fans of Adventure Time that have been purchasing previous seasons will take a definite interest in Adventure Time Season Five.

The graphics look great on the Blu-ray. There are even different graphical systems used in Adventure Time Season Five. I personally really liked the 3D models that were done in one of the episodes. A variety of different character relationships are dealt with in Adventure Time Season Five. I personally enjoyed seeing Simon from close to a thousand years ago. He is in multiple episodes in Adventure Time Season Five.

Some of the content families will want to be aware of is vampires, demons, magic, cartoon violence, blood, gore, death, strange afterlife beliefs, and a party god (which is a wolf's head). There is one episode in Adventure Time Season Five that teaches the religious belief of reincarnation. How someone is supposed to treat their boyfriend or girlfriend is also touched upon in Adventure Time Season Five.

One thing I enjoy about Adventure Time Season Five is how different things are done. Maybe there is a mystery episode, or a Graybles episode, or an adventure episode, or one dealing with Finn's love life, or tyranny, or oppression, and so on. Adventure Time Season Five hops us around to different themes, storylines and more. If you don't like one kind, then check out the next one.

I really wish Finn would wind up with Princess Bubblegum. I thought it was great to see the whole pillow kingdom, and Finn got married, had kids, and grew old. It was neat to see Finn finally reach fulfillment. There are some neat stories with BMO in Adventure Time Season Five too. I loved the one with the bubble, and meeting his creator back at the factory.
