Army Antz

Army Antz reminds me of the Tiny Troopers video game franchise. The biggest difference is we use ants in Army Antz instead of human like soldiers. The goal of any screen of Army Antz is to kill all of the enemy soldiers and to capture their flag. This starts out easy enough but can get difficult as the levels progress. There are nineteen battle arenas in Army Antz which the ants fight it out.

Players can pick their teams of five ants, and even upgrade them as coins are earned. Grinding is required to level up enough to be able to handle harder levels. There are also support characters and objects that can be unlocked and used. Things like the medic to heal a downed soldier, and dummies to distract the enemy army ants. Army Antz is a downloadable only hand held video game.

Army Antz is selling for $2.99. There are also in-app purchases. Which are the crystals and used for getting upgrades and more of the support characters. It can be very difficult and time consuming to progress through Army Antz without the in-app purchases. There are daily bonuses that players can earn by playing Army Antz at least once per day. Army Antz feels like a free app in how it is set up.

The ants in Army Antz shoot one another, throw grenades, launch rockets, and use flamethrowers to murder one another. The bodies stay on the field with stars rotating around the character like they are stunned. The medic can come out and revive any of the dead ants. The violence is the main issue families will have with Army Antz on the iPad, and iPhone.

The blue and the red ants will converse in military jargon about wins and losses in Army Antz. The player is working their way through the field to destroy the queen from the ants they are fighting against. Army Antz looks good, and it sounds nice. I enjoyed my time with this war video game. The menu screens exhibit an intelligent design. The grinding in Army Antz is what stops it from being too short.
