Bladestorm Nightmare
SCORE: 56
Bladestorm Nightmare is a strategy game where the player takes the
role of a mercenary and chooses to fight either for England or for
France. The missions in this home console video games are inspired by
real events and battles from ‘the Hundred Years War’ (1337 – 1453).
Player assume command of different kinds of army units and also develop
their own unique character, increase their fame, gold, and army, and
complete various missions irrespective of sides and loyalty.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Bladestorm
Nightmare on the Sony Playstation 4. The game clocks in just under
fifteen gigs. Which is insanely huge. If you purchase this game on the
Playstation 3, Playstation 4, or Xbox One, please go for the retail
version to avoid massive fines from your Internet Service Provider. Plus
in most cases you could drive to your local retailer, get home, open the
package, and install it before the download would finish.
Bladestorm Nightmare mixes the hack and slash from the Dynasty Warriors
series with some RTS (Real Time Strategy). Players control entire
squadrons on massive battle fields. Historic battles in Bladestorm
Nightmare can take some time to complete. Make sure you set aside enough
time to get through a level of Bladestorm Nightmare. Unless you leave
your system paused for long periods of time while doing real world
activities.
Bladestorm Nightmare is a violent game. The historic element gets lost
when massive mythical creatures like demons, giants, and dragons join
the fray. Those monsters can create all kinds of havoc no matter which
side you are fighting for. Which reminds me, you can swap countries at
your leisure. The positive side to being a mercenary instead of a
patriot. Meaning Bladestorm Nightmare allows players to be controlled by
their greed.
Some of the other issues families will have with Bladestorm Nightmare is
the nasty, gutter mouth language, enticement to lust, and references to
alcohol. Bladestorm Nightmare is a pretty dark game in a lot of areas.
It is surprising this game did not get the seventeen and older rating
instead of the thirteen and older rating. Maybe because it is a
remastered release from 2007.
