Breezeblox

My kids used to play this free browser game a few years back where you had to rotate blocks from a starting point to an ending point. Thing is the blocks have to align just right or you would not succeed. Breezeblox on the Wii U is very similar to that old free browser games.

Families need one important fair warning concerning Breezeblox. This downloadable only home console video game is hard. Families have to figure out how to get their blocks into the right spot in the right formation. Sometimes I just moved it around until it finally matched. I could not duplicate it if my life depended on it.

Breezeblox has a nice aesthetic appeal to it. The backgrounds are offset nicely by the white movement area. We start at green and end in the red. In a few levels I had trouble finding where the end red blocks were. That was due to background and camera angles.

Breezeblox can be fun when you complete a level. It can cause real world anger when you are completely stuck. I would have liked some form of a hint system because I can see families giving up when they get stuck. Also for the $9.99 price tag, hints should have been included.

As long as you can complete the levels you can experience one hundred and fifty of them. That will take some time especially when you consider the different concepts you need to learn to complete levels in Breezeblox. The music will soothe you as you try and find the right block rotation.

I like Breezeblox. I like it on the Wii U. It is nice to see that old free browser game get fleshed out into a full home console video game. My best advice is to think through the moves backwards from the end. Also if there is an area with more space you probably need to use it to change what spaces you are using.
