Family Friendly Gaming was provided three download codes to Brutus &
Futee on the iOS platform. If you are connected to our Facebook channel,
you saw one code given away there. If you are connected to our Twitter
channel you saw one code given away there. The final code was kept for
this review. We only needed one code, and gave away extras to Family
Friendly Gaming Universe.
Brutus & Futee is an interactive cartoon with twelve chapters. Family
members interact with the screen in a variety of different ways to get
the needed outcome to progress to the next screen. Failures are called
outtakes. How many outtakes that are possible on a screen ranges. Really
bad things happen to the characters in the outtakes that usually involve
cartoon violence.
The music in Brutus & Futee is orchestra quality. I enjoyed playing
Brutus & Futee when I got things right. I got frustrated with the
outtakes. At times I thought I knew what would work, but it did not end
well. I also noticed it is very hard to get it right on the first try
with Brutus & Futee. For a first time perfectionists like myself that
was a very hard pill to swallow.
Just because there are a variety of objects to interact with in Brutus &
Futee does not mean you should interact with them. The drawing, and
design screens are great to work with. At times things looked good to
me, for the game to progress. However Brutus & Futee wanted a different
outcome. I kept guessing what that outcome might be. It dawned on me
that Brutus & Futee really wanted me to see the outtakes.
Brutus & Futee is a pay one time, and never have to pay again app. At
the time this review was written Brutus & Futee is selling for $2.99.
Brutus & Futee is a different kind of an experience for most families.
It would be like playing a cartoon. I felt bad for the comic strip
characters while playing Brutus & Futee on the iPhone and iPad. Brutus &
Futee is also on the Android platform.
