Crossy Road

Family Friendly Gaming does not normally review free apps like Crossy Road. The downloadable only hand held video game has made such an impact and is so addicting that it was decided to write this review. Crossy Road is an endless Frogger. Be warned this addictive video game can cause you real world harm.

One of the neatest things about Crossy Road is all the different characters families can play with. Fortune Chicken is the favorite of my dad. I like the frog since it reminds me more of Frogger (BTW there are different kinds of frogs in this game). The goal of Crossy Road is to get as far as you can without getting squashed by something.

The violence in Crossy Road comes from getting hit by a car, truck, train, or some other form of dying (like drowning). The blocky graphics in Crossy Road mainly flatten the character being played. Crossy Road is not all animals either. There are gross things like vampires and aliens in Crossy Road too.

Crossy Road is one of those free apps that is constantly advertising at you, and trying to get you to pay ninety-nine cents or more for certain characters. Once you build one hundred coins you can spin for additional characters. Problem is you may get one you already have. Isn't that lame?

I wish Crossy Road let me pay one time and enjoy all of the game. Especially since this little hand held video game is a real battery drainer. Lag that happens in Crossy Road can hurt you too. Nothing like getting close to your record only to have lag kill you.

The worst thing about Crossy Road is this eagle that will swoop down and take you away if you wait too long in one spot. What makes this maddening is sometimes you can't go anywhere thanks to objects in your way, and too many vehicles right in front of you. Some things in Crossy Road make no sense like fish dying in the water.
