Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars
SCORE: 82
I am so excited that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable
copy of Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars on the Playstation 4. It came with
the 3.0 Edition Software, the Disney Infinity Base, Anakin Skywalker
figure, Ahsoka Tano figure, one web code card, and the Twilight of the
Republic Play Set Piece. Disney Infinity 3.0 is also downloadable for
those who own a previous copy of the game. The Disney Infinity Base from
previous games works with Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars.
Since Disney Infinity 3.0 Twilight of the Republic is based on Star Wars
there is more violent content than say Cars. Players go to four planets
in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. They are Geonosis, Coruscant,
Tatooine, and Naboo. The combined open areas of these four planets is
impressive, and definitely larger than Disney Infinity 1.0, and Disney
Infinity 2.0.
The main story in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars will take five to six
hours to complete. That is if you ignore all of the various side
missions. There is also character skill upgrades, and character unlock
tokens to find. The end fight against Darth Maul is an impressive battle
that takes place across multiple areas. There are plenty of cool things
to unearth and discover in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. The space
missions were a favorite of mine and my brother.
The figures look fantastic in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. I compared
figures from previous years and the ones in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star
Wars are even more detailed. They have cool poses, and look just like
the characters from the cartoon. I can tell Disney is putting forth
effort into making amazing looking figures at a good price. Since Disney
Infinity 3.0 Star Wars is launching for $64.99. The playsets are still
at $34.99, and figures are usually selling for $13.99. I see some stores
are selling them two for twenty at launch. I also expect sales on Black
Friday.
If the story, and side missions were all there was, then I could see
disappointment in Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. However the Toy Box Hub
is present again, and it is getting better with each release. This is
where you can create your very own kinds of video games. New tools and
new toys are present in the Toy Box Hub for Disney Infinity 3.0 Star
Wars. This is also where additional player created levels can be found.
Expect new characters and playsets to be released for Disney Infinity
3.0 Star Wars throughout 2015, and into 2016. Disney Interactive Studios
is making their claim on best toy to video game franchise this year with
Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. I believe it has great potential with the
Star Wars franchise. Will it beat out Skylanders Superchargers and Lego
Dimensions? Time will tell. What I do know is Disney Infinity 3.0 Star
Wars is first out the gate, and hit a solid stride.
