Excave II Wizard of the Underworld
SCORE: 73
Excave II Wizard of the Underworld improves upon the original Excave
in numerous regions. First off, Excave II Wizard of the Underworld looks
better. The graphics are greatly improved. I loved some of the levels
with the forest canopy. Yes the enemies hide under the trees. Keep that
in mind while you walk around the maze like levels in Excave II Wizard
of the Underworld on the Nintendo 3DS.
Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Excave II Wizard
of the Underworld. I hope there is a third game, and all three of them
are released on a cartridge. That would be awesome for three games of a
kind to be released in the much sought after physical copy format.
Excave II Wizard of the Underworld is not a large download so it will
not hurt your Internet usage too badly.
Excave II Wizard of the Underworld sounds better than the original, and
there are less of those strange occultic looking symbols on the ground.
Families will appreciate Excave II Wizard of the Underworld being made
safer for them. There are also now reasons to go on quests and they are
separated on a menu screen. Usually we have to hunt down some nasty
mythical monster.
There is one oddity in Excave II Wizard of the Underworld. The original
Excave game received an Everyone 10+ rating from the ESRB. The violent
content is the same in Excave II Wizard of the Underworld, if not more
intense. Yet the ESRB decided to drop the rating to an Everyone rating.
How? Why? It is getting really confusing trying to understand the
shifting in the sand standards and ratings over the less than credible
ESRB.
Excave II Wizard of the Underworld is a hack and slash video game with a
medieval feel to it. There is magical content in Excave II Wizard of the
Underworld. There are also items we can acquire that give us limited
magical attacks. Weapons will break over time. They have a life bar so
it is easy to see when they are close to breaking. It is very easy to
swap items in Excave II Wizard of the Underworld. It is still difficult
to sell items in this franchise.
