I did not expect much from Farm Expert 2016. The last game we reviewed that related to this game was glitchy beyond belief. Farm Expert 2016 is actually a solid game on the Personal Computer. It has its issues. Farm Expert 2016 is much better than I expected. I will get into that in just a little bit in this review. Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Farm Expert 2016.

Farm Expert 2016 clocks in at over 8.5 gigs. So far above the ceiling that its crazy. It took forever to download this massive game, and then the Internet Usage fines. A physical copy should have been provided. Farm Expert 2016 looks nice and there are massive areas to play in. I found Alps and Midland in the free play. The story mode of Farm Expert 2016 explains how to do things, and where everything is. I forgot soon after I was shown unfortunately.

Farm Expert 2016 is slow moving with missing animations. I also noticed that going into the river had my vehicle floating on the top of the water instead of the real physics of sinking to the bottom. Farm Expert 2016 told me the tractor got stuck. The train tunnel is a black wall that stops your vehicle. I drove off a small cliff and the vehicle set itself right after the camera rotated around a few times.

The music in Farm Expert 2016 is fantastic. It changed songs enough times to keep it fresh. The different camera angles should please a variety of different kinds of gamers. The tutorial is long, and very useful. There are plenty of things to do and see in Farm Expert 2016. If the game is lagging then you might want to turn down some of the visual effects. I found that helped.

The controls in Farm Expert 2016 are clunky. I noticed that I had to press keys a couple of times to get the game to register things. Like what? Like attaching something, or going in reverse. Speaking of reverse. Pressing up is how vehicles increase speed going forwards and backwards. It feels really weird. I found it is hard to plow/sow in straight lines. For some reason my vehicle liked to change direction slightly without my prompting.

Farm Expert 2016 is a massive game. I wish our PC controller worked with Farm Expert 2016. I would love to see this franchise on a home console like the PS4, Xbox One, and/or Wii U. Families find those systems more comfortable to play on. If you can live with the sluggish and clunky controls then you can find a lot to do in Farm Expert 2016 on the Personal Computer.
